The Super Eagles of Nigeria are on the right path to securing one of the ten spots available for round three in the African section of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament. Nigeria are the top team in Group B after they kicked off proceedings in round two of the African qualifiers with two straight wins.

IHEANACHO ON TARGET IN PRESEASON DRAW

Nigeria national team forward Kelechi Iheanacho was one of the goalscorers as his Leicester City side played out a thrilling six-goal thriller with English Championship club Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in a preseason encounter played last week. The Super Eagles of Nigeria attacker came off the bench to find the back of the net against the London team.

Iheanacho scored a late penalty during the game played at the home of QPR, Loftus Road in West London after fellow African star PatsonDaka was brought down in the box. The Nigeria international didn't make any mistake from 12 yards out after Zambian international Daka was fouled in the box.
