BALOGUN IN LINE FOR RANGERS RECALL

Super Eagles of Nigeria centre back Leon Balogun is in line for a recall to the Rangers team ahead of the Boxing Day encounter with Hibernian. Rangers play hosts to Hibsin the first game of matchday20 in the Scottish Premiership this term and Leon Balogun is expected to feature in the game having missed out on an appearance in midweek. Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Leon Balogun recovered from concussion to take his place on the Rangers bench for the league game at St. Johnstone on Wednesday night but he was an unused substitute. The Nigerian player watched the entire duration of the game from the substitute bench as Rangers dispatched St. Johnstone easily.


Rangers scored three unreplied goals against their hosts and another Super Eagles of Nigeria player, Joe Aribo was the star of the show and he even drew high praise from Steven Gerrard during his post-match presser at the end of the game. Joe Aribo has had some problems with injury of late but his manager is delighted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder is back to his fluent best after those injuries.

Joe Aribo provided the assist for the second goal scored by Glen Kamara and also had a hand in the third goal scored by IanisHagi, who's the son of Gheorghe Hagi widely regarded as the greatest player to come out of Romania.
Nigerian player Leon Balogun suffered the aforementioned concussion during the Scottish League Cup quarterfinal loss to St. Mirren earlier this month and has been able to recover from it. He has made ten appearances for Rangers in the league this season and a total of 16 games in all competitions. Leon Balogun has played for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish League Cup and the Europa League this season.
