The Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has stripped his mind off a lot of things as Nigeria get ready to host Algeria in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers in Uyo on Saturday.

The tie billed for November 12 will see the CAF World Cup Qualifier group B leaders Nigeria take on Africa’s highest ranked team Algeria, who are desperate to bounce back from the disappointment of playing 1-1 draw at home to Cameroun.

Rohr has spoken after being asked by the representative of the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) about how Super Eagles had an edge over the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Ndola last month.

He said it was not an easy match just as no match is simple, because his side had high temperature especially during the first half but they were able to control the game and played very well to make the difference in the first half.

He explained how tough the second half was but they gave all their best from the beginning of the game to the very end and the willingness to score with the determination to win really showed throughout.

The 63-year old German coach further spoke concerning their next visitor Algeria and their group B, he said:

"I believe all the games in this group will be tough to win because all the four teams are very strong.

"Algeria which is ranked the number one team in Africa must be disappointed for dropping points at home against Cameroon but that is football. They will come to Uyo very well prepared against us.

“So tactically, it was a good operation for us that we had three points in Ndola; and we are the only team that has three points after the first round.”
