NIGERIA INVESTIGATES CORRUPTION

Nigeria has decided to probe into suspended FIFA executive Adamu corruption claims. Last month, Adamu was suspended by FIFA for three years and fined 100,000 Swiss Francs (105,000 dollars) for breaching the code of ethics of the world football governing body over cash-for-vote allegations in respect of the hosting bid for the 2018 World Cup.

'The investigations are on and we do not know when it will be completed,' EFCC spokesman Femi Babafemi said.

Babafemi said Adamu was also being quizzed about the budget for the 2003 All Africa Games staged by Nigeria and Algeria with the disgraced officials as chief executive.
