ELECTIONS SOON IN NIGERIA
The Nigerian football Federation has announced that it will be conducting elections very soon in the country. The delay in the conduct of elections into the boards of the state football associations before elections into the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation last August raised dust, with some stakeholders calling for the sack of the last NFF leadership.
John Obi Mikel is keen for this to be resolved.
They equally demanded that the state football association elections be held before the NFF Executive Committee election.
Most of those opposed to the conduct of election into the Executive Committee of the NFF before the state football associations, also argued that majority of the state football association boards have stayed beyond their mandatory four years tenure and were no longer qualified to vote at the NFF election.
